It is suited for universal applications and for high-strength steel. Continuous cooling is required when drilling into high-strength steel.
TC: Solid tungsten carbide. Particularly suitable for drilling work in high strength steel at high cutting speeds.
Shape C: Split point
Applications: for drills with very strong cores, for particularly tough, hard materials and for deep-hole drills.
Advantages: good centring, little pressure required. Chip spreading improves chip removal.
Disadvantages: perfect grinding only possible by machine.
The Tecrona coating offers extremely high heat resistance. The very low friction coefficient increases the service life and ensures low wear.
