Thread: metric, DIN ISO 13 – Forming taps with reinforced shank for through threads and bottoming. As shaping is done without cutting, no interruption of the course of the fibre in the material. The deformation creates very rigid threads. Consistent accuracy even with high productivity. The forming tap consists of cobalt alloyed heavy-duty high-speed steel with titanium aluminium nitride coating. Applications: for non-alloyed and alloyed steels up to a strength of 1000 N/mm², V2A and non-ferrous metals.
